FMidiClock is a VST3 plugin that creates MIDI beat clock messages from a host application and sends those clock messages to a specified MIDI device. It works by creating MIDI beat clock messages from transport/position information that the host provides.
It can be used to
- allow a host DAW to control the transport of hardware that accepts MIDI beat clock, or
- allow a host DAW to control another DAW’s transport through a virtual MIDI device. *
* Additional software may be required to create virtual MIDI devices (e.g., loopMIDI)
* Not all DAWs support MIDI beat clock and for those that do, support may be incomplete
* Please note that this plugin currently only outputs “MIDI beat clock”, and does not support “Midi time code (MTC)”
DEMO LIMITATIONS
• No loading/saving of settings or plugin state
• Time limit of 10 minutes, after which the plugin stops working
